In use of its legal faculties under the Mexican laws, the EMDR Mexico Board of Directors formally created its International Research Ethics Review Board (IREB; also known in the United States as an Institutional Review Board) to approve (or reject), monitor, and review, EMDR Therapy, and AIP-informed research projects.

 

The IREB will assure that appropriate steps are taken to protect the rights and welfare of humans participating as subjects in a research study, in order to safeguard ethical conduct of research concerning both national and international norms, regulations or codes.
