International Research Ethics Review Board

In use of its legal faculties under the Mexican laws, the EMDR Mexico Board of Directors formally created its International Research Ethics Review Board (IREB; also known in the United States as an Institutional Review Board) to approve (or reject), monitor, and review, EMDR Therapy, and AIP-informed research projects.

The IREB will assure that appropriate steps are taken to protect the rights and welfare of humans participating as subjects in a research study, in order to safeguard ethical conduct of research concerning both national and international norms, regulations or codes.

The Mission of the Legally supported by the Mexican Laws IREB is to Promote,  Validate, Monitor and Review Research Projects, Trauma Recovery Programs, Training Programs, Protocols and Procedures based on the Adaptive Information (AIP) theoretical model, that contribute to alleviating the Human Suffering produced by psychological trauma.

The Vision of the IREB is to help change the course of history about the prevention, treatment, and investigation of traumatic stress.

The Objective of the IREB is to promote the highest standards of ethics, excellence, and integrity in  AIP-informed Research Projects, Trauma Recovery Programs, Training Programs, Protocols, and Procedures.
